Bill Harrop's Original Balloon Safaris

From the slowly drifting vantage of a hot air balloon you will experience the "720 degree", wrap-around panorama of beautiful valleys and a huge lake north of Johannesburg which, incidentally, boasts some of the best ballooning weather in the world. Quaff champagne as you go, and enjoy what some describe as the closest thing to heaven.

BILL HARROP'S "ORIGINAL" BALLOON SAFARIS

is run by Bill and Mary Harrop who have been in the business of operating a licensed balloon Air Transport Service since 1981. Over three thousand very happy passengers each year are testimony to our professional attitude in entertaining you to one of the most memorabe, enjoyable experiences of your life. Our large balloons carry 6 to 18 passengers each.

Ballon Safari Information:

Every morning at sunrise.

Hot coffee/tea served – Crew prepare balloon for flight.

Flight duration about 1 hour.

Champagne served in-flight (or on landing).

Transfer to country base for freshly cooked, country style.

CHAMPANGE BRUNCH and citations for bravery.

Return to meeting point at about mid-day.

BRING: Camera, video, binoculars.
CLOTHING: Warm (but peelable) for cool early morning.
FITNESS: Enough to climb in and out of a basket. Participants should be nimble, be able to jump unassisted from a height of 60cm and stand for the duration of the flight.
