Elephant Valley Lodge is set in the Chobe area of Northern Botswana. The region is famed for its massive numbers of elephant and abundance of other wildlife including buffalo, hippo, antelope and a healthy predator population. The Elephant Valley Lodge located in the Lesoma Valley, a beautiful forested are that forms part of the Kasane Forest Reserve. The Kasane Forest Reserve lies to the east of Chobe National Park, and is easily accessed from Victoria Falls or Kasane.
The lodge is made up of twenty Meru Safari Tents that are nestled among a grove of trees and surrounded by beautiful lawns of green grass. The trees are home to an array of birdlife including a number of vultures. The camp has a fence around it simply to divert the elephants around the camp as they move to and from the water. The safari tents at Elephant Valley Lodge enhance the African night time sound experience, but do not take away any of the luxuries, as each tent is complete with twin beds, ensuite shower and toilet, a mini safe to store valuables and a fan to ease the hot days that are the norm in summer.
By being located in the wildlife rich Kasane Forest Reserve, guests at Elephant Valley Lodge get to view game not only in the Chobe National Park but also enroute to and from the camp. Twice daily safaris are taken either by game drive vehicle into the Chobe National Park, or by boat for game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River. Apart from the twice daily game viewing safari (game drives or boat cruise), there are a number of other activities that are possible whilst staying at the lodge. These include visiting either the Zimbabwe or Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, or extending your safari by a few nights by visiting the Okavango Delta.
