Day 1 – Johannesburg to Phinda Private Game Reserve (andBeyond Phinda Mountain Lodge)

Hop on your flight from Johannesburg to Richard’s Bay Airport where you will be collected by your guide from Phinda Private Game Reserve.  Your transfer will take you through the beautiful landscapes of Kwazulu Natal.

andBeyond Phinda Mountain Lodge is set in the phenomenal mountainous landscape of the reserve, each luxury suite has uninterrupted views of the surrounding bush, your own outdoor shower, and a private deck.

Day 2 & 3 – On Safari in the Phinda Private Game Reserve

Renowned for its incredible game sightings, take part in a game drive, or walking safari, or learn more about how the guides track animals. Enjoy your afternoons at leisure in the camp or take a tour of a nearby village.  Dinner is served around a candlelit boma where guests share stories of the day’s encounters.

Day 4 – Phinda Reserve to iSimangaliso Wetland Park (Thonga Beach Lodge)

After breakfast, you will be whisked away by road to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.  Watch as the scenery around you changes from mountains and bush to coastal wetlands.  You will be staying at Thonga Beach Lodge.

With only 12 luxury thatched rooms, Thonga Beach Lodge is the perfect hideaway to enjoy all that the ocean has to offer.  With tropical forests on one side and white sandy beaches on the other.

Day 5, 6, and 7 – Thonga Beach Lodge

Your next few days are spent at leisure exploring the beaches and taking in the stunning scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Activities range from strolls on the beach, forest walks, birding, and spa treatments, to the more adventurous kayaking, snorkelling, and scuba diving.  There is something for everyone to enjoy during your time here.

Day 8 – Thonga Beach Lodge to Johannesburg

Today marks the end of your unforgettable safari and beach holiday.  You will be transferred to Richards Bay Airport in time for your flight to Johannesburg where you will continue on your onward journey with some wonderful memories to take home.
